FIORENTINA IN TALKS WITH LIVERPOOL OVER £6M MOVE FOR FABIO BORINI AS ITALIAN STRIKER TARGETS SERIE A RETURN

Fabio BorinI is keen on a return to Serie A after becoming a peripheral figure at Anfield.

Fiorentina are discussing a £6million move for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini.

The Italy international is keen on a return to Serie A after becoming a peripheral figure at Anfield.


He rejected moves to QPR and Sunderland last year and has been holding out for bigger clubs to make a move.

West Ham have enquired also but wanted to take Borini on loan and Liverpool want to sell to help offset some of their summer spending.

The Italians are in London tonight to take on Chelsea in a friendly at Stamford Bridge and the club’s board are using the opportunity to discuss a deal with Liverpool and the 24-year-old striker.

Lazio have also shown interest in Borini but may now explore a deal for his club-mate Mario Balotelli towards the end of the window.
