Samsung has not quite taken the official step to
ensure or confirm that they are indeed the ones
behind the Samsung Galaxy A8, although there
has been a fair number of rumors going around
that this particular device is about to be
released.
Still, this does not detract from the fact that the
Samsung Galaxy A8 is indeed, well on its way to
the market. After all, the Galaxy A8 had already
picked up approval from China’s telecom
authorities. A Chinese website has shared more
details on the Samsung Galaxy A8 this time
around, so head on right after the jump if you’re
interested.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 will measure 158mm x
76.77mm x 5.9mm, where it happens to be the
thinnest Samsung smartphone to come out from
their stables. It will feature a metal frame, and
does resemble the Galaxy S6 in certain aspects
– even more from the front, but it is not going
to be a high end device.
Hardware specifications for the Galaxy A8 will
include an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor,
2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a 16MP
ISOCELL rear camera, a 5MP front-facing
camera, and a 3,050 mAh battery, a 5.7” Super
AMOLED Full HD screen, and a fingerprint
scanner located within the home button itself.
Whispers have it that the Galaxy A8 will cost
around $500 when it is released, and chances
are it will roll out in China first.
