Lil Wayne Releases A Surprise New Album Exclusively On Tidal

Independence Day with a bang onLil Wayne brought in the American
Saturday (July 4) as he dropped his new
record Free Weezy Album, or FWA ,
exclusively on Tidal.

The new release comes after the rapper signed a deal to become an artist owner with Jay Z's
music streaming service last month.
FWA was made available on Tidal at
midnight on Saturday and features 15
tracks with contributions from artists
such as Young Jeezy and Wiz Khalifa,
among others.

The album comes as fans wait for
Wayne's long-awaited Tha Carter V
album, which has been delayed due to
an ongoing battle with Birdman.
To apologise to fans, Wayne has
previously released two mixtapes with
the most recent, Sorry 4 the Wait 2  , being made available in January.
